After a week away it's time for another Big Red Meat Wagon Husker Tailgate!!! This week OU comes to town sporting the same record as us. I know a few weeks ago we were all thinking we'd be 7-1 coming in to this game and also thought OU would have a better record too. Either way the players and us as fans should be fired up!! It's OU, an old rival, win Saturday and we're bowl eligible, win and it improves our chances of winning the north.
This team can beat OU. Our defense can keep us in the game but our offense is going to have to put together a flawless game. The O-line will need to play inspired, penality free ball for 60 minutes. We can't afford to come out flat at any time in the game. Cody Green gives us the best chance to win with his ability to scramble. He is going to get a heafty dose of On the Job Training!!! With it being a night game hopefully the crowd can get in to the game and stay that way the entire time!!
We will be setup and ready to tailgate by 10 am for those who want to spend gameday the way it's meant to be - early and by the stadium!! The weather sounds like it's going to get up to 70 and sunny. The menu is still in the works but we may have some food catered in from the Big Kahuna BBQ. Since it's a late game we'll also probably cook up some shredded buffalo chicken sandwiches or sloppy joes.

Iowa State is coming to town. Sounds like a good game to let Green start so he won't be so "Green" anymore.
About the only good thing from last week is that we started parking a new way and everyone seemed to like the new layout. We're still in the same spot in Lot 7 but now we're parking sideways which gives us more room, better views of the TV's and allows us to manage who is at our tailgates. Stop down for the Iowa State tailgate and check it out!!
This week we'll have tastee sandwiches, hot dogs and the usual cheese dip, bbq meatballs, etc.
No matter who starts at QB this week, the team needs our support. Come down and tailgate with the Big Red Meat Wagon while we cheer on our Huskers!!

What a 4th quarter and what a dominating defense last Thursday!! It was nice to put Missouri back in their rightful place below us in the Big 12 North.
We've got another big game this weekend with the pass happy Texas Tech Red Raiders and their mad scientist Mike Leach. Can Suhperman and the Blackshirts provide us with an encore from last week?!?! Will Shawn Watson let us run this week and control the clock?

After what looks to be a cold, crappy week - Saturday looks promising for some great tailgating weather - sunny with a high of 60!! We'll be in our usual spot cheering on the Huskers. Come down and tailgate with us while we cheer on the Huskers to another victory. This week at the Big Red Meat Wagon Husker tailgate we'll have bbq'd pulled pork sandwiches along with the usual stuff.

The game this week in another PPV and will be televised at the Big Red Meat Wagon Husker tailgate. This time we're calling DISH Network to order the game instead of using the remote so we're assured not to miss kickoff. The stupid idiots (and I'm being polite here by saying that) told me twice over the phone that I'd receive the game on ALL my receivers if I ordered it through the remote. Don't get DISH Network they suck. Enough of my endorsement for DISH on with the game.....
I feel bad for the Ragin Cajuns. They're coming to Lincoln to face a pissed off team at night and it's the 300th sellout. We'll be sending them back to LaLa land in a dazed wonder. We had our statement game last week literally ripped from us but another statement can be made with a tune up this week in preparation for the start of Big 12 play. Hopefully, now the team realizes their potential if they can put together a complete game with discipline and concentration. We already know they can play with passion which was nice to see last week.
The tailgate this week will be in the same location. We'll have burgers and hotdogs during the day and tacos to feast on before game time.

The kickoff to the 2009 Husker season and BRMW tailgate was a great success. We had a great turnout and saw some old faces as well as some new ones to the tailgate. We purchased another siren during the off-season because ours kept acting up on us last year. It was nice to be able to test it out 7 times to the tune of 49-3!! Spring practice has officially started and so has the preparation for a spring tailgate! Admit it.....You've had Big Red Meat Wagon withdrawls and are ready for a Husker tailgate!
Last spring we partied to the tune of 4 kegs. For a practice people! What will 2009 have in store for us? Come find out on April 18th.
The BRMW will be tailgating in Lot 7 as usual.
Come down cheer on our Huskers, watch the QB race and enjoy some BRMW hospitality! Don't have a ticket? Don't worry. You'll be able to see the game on the big screen from our tailgate.
We will have some chicken wings, tastee's, cheese dip, bbq meatballs, nacho trays, adult and kid friendly beverages, tippy cup, loud music, fun people and of course stretcher shots!
